With that I would like to talk about being attached by a spirit. It does happen and it makes life miserable for the person who does get attach. People think they can just grab a camera and an EVP and go to a cemetery and snap pictures. Then you get the typical wise guy or girl who wants to call them every name in the book and agitate them. This really gets the spirit mad and yes it will raise havoc. Do you know how to protect yourself ? Do you know what kind of spirit your dealing with ? Do you know if its demonic or not ? these are the questions you need to ask yourself before you go on the hunt. It takes a lot of experience and actual hands on to truly understand what is going on. You can get all the details from the client or read the history about the place but ask yourself when its time to go in am I ready ? I am a sensitive and i have many other gifts. It just didn't come overnight it took along time and alot of learning. I'm not saying I'm the best but i do know what I'm working with and who I am dealing with. So any newcomers going on there first investigation make sure you are with someone who has some experience and knows how to protect themselves from spirit.

Lately I have been doing some consulting work with people on the phone and there are some possibility we will set some investigations in April.. People have been asking about the places we have been at. If they want to know tell them to look on the website or to give me a call. Pretty soon we will be updating the website. I'm telling you this because I want to update the member list. So please email me or tell me that you still want to be with PPS. Many changes have been going on and to make life simple I need to know who wants in or out.

The investigations are coming in and there will be a time where we might have to do 2 investigations in one night. So i might have to break up into 2 teams for an evening. I know we have scheduled 3 investigations for April.

I'm ordering T-shirts , and the girls want tank tops too. Whoever is interested in t-shirts and the girls tank tops please email me your sizes. I think the price ranges are around 7 dollars. I will send out an email with the prices.

In April we will be getting a table at the Butler UFO conference I do believe it is the 10th. Who ever wants to come along you are more then welcome to come. March 27th we will be speaking at Indian Summer in Castle Shannon. Whoever wants to come your more then welcome to.

Starting in March whoever goes on the investigation we will meet at Indian Summer on a day where we will be looking over the evidence and get it all on one CD. I will ask everyone what day would be ok for everyone to meet.

Back to the website we have a lot of space to do more things. We will have a meeting soon and we will sit down with Sue and figure out what we want to do. Sue needs a video card so she can put the pitures up. But we can also write things and put it up.

The weather hopefully will start to get warmer and I do plan on going to cemeteries. We will have family days and picnics.

One more thing that I will be starting. I would like to start an internship. I have been emailed from people who want to join the group or go on a couple of investigations. I'm still pondering on it. What do you think ? We have had about 10 investigations since January and I want to thank everyone on a good job and your time. We have had some awesome evidence and everyone of our clients have been satisfied. This is what PPS is all about to help people to understand that spirits exists.

If anyone has a problem with me and what goes on with the group, please come and speak to me about it and we can get it settled. Well I have to go now so everyone have a wonderful day and I will see everyone on Saturday.

   PPS spoke at the Western Pennsylvania Paranormal Conference last month. We met many interesting people who have their own paranormal groups. We learned about their ways of investing and we got to know who they are on a more personal level. There were also many vendors who had many inter sting things on display. There were some people who did tarot readings and some Reiki healers. (Doreen actually won a free Reiki session). We also met Joe from Tara from Visions magazine online who we are going to invite to go on an investigation with us. Anthony did a real good job at planning this conference and we are looking forward to working with him on future conferences.
   PPS normally holds about four investigations a month, but in the month of May we did nine investigations in two weeks!! So everyone in the group were quite worn out and tired, and we wanted to spend time with our families so we did take two weeks off.
   On June 6th, PPS will be doing a private residence in Pitcairn, and everyone is ready to get started. We also will be doing a "urban legend" on June 20th. W e also are going to do some follow ups on past investigations.
We wanted to thank everyone for coming to the site.

As you may have noticed, our website has not been updated lately. First of all in the months of November and December, and me being a meat cutter for Giant Eagle, these are the busiest times of the year. We really didn’t do too many investigations, especially in December, although we did do one house around Christmas and it was pretty interesting. In January, PPS welcomed new members, Ed, Toni, Patrick, Faith and her husband John. Faith and John run the technical equipment and Ed does a fantastic job with EVP’s. The new members are very passionate about investigating the paranormal. We have a lot of things coming up this year. We will be working with the Girls Scouts up in Butler on the 28^th of October and we will also be speaking at the Bridgeville Library in October. But before this all happens we have a lot of investigations lined up this year. Some of these will be at cemeteries and some will be private residences. But again, our main purpose is to spread the word that spirits DO exist. In January of this year, we had the opportunity to investigate a house in East McKeesport and the evidence we collected was unbelievable. We got a full blown apparition on video. Right now we are not putting it up on the website just yet because we need to get this copyrighted. I know when people see this video or the still shots of the video, there will be some who will be skeptic about it. (ex: we placed someone there, or we photo-shopped someone in there) but I will tell you this right now that the only person in the room was Doreen and the owner of the home. It is a remarkable picture. Something that will blow you away! We also had the opportunity to do an old hotel up in Leechburg, PA and the footage that we got was unbelievable. We got faces in the windows, tons of orbs (because they DO exist) and also some EVP’s that we will put up on our website. Life has been good for PPS, we are starting to expand. We started a New Oxford, PA connection of PPS. These members are Pam, Dave and Danielle who all love ghost hunting. When we went up to Gettysburg this past March, we met with them and they asked us if they could join PPS. I was more than happy for them to join and told them that they could be the New Oxford connection. I gave a hat and off they went investigating. Pretty soon if there people out there who want to start a group, and be affiliated with Pittsburgh Paranormal Society, feel free to email me and we can talk about it. We will also allow people, with their permission, to send us pictures and we can post them up on the website. PPS will be going places this year and we will go as far as we can just to get the evidence for our clients and for you. This year PPS will be working on the “old hag” theory and some other theories. Two of our members, Barb and Toni have created a MySpace account for Young Sensitive’s Unity www.myspace.com/unity2009.

Sorry I haven’t written anything on the website, but the last couple of months have been pretty intriguing and rather busy. We have gone to a couple of cemeteries, got some decent EVP’s and everything has been going pretty smoothly. And then all of a sudden I heard through the “Paranormal grapevine” here in Pittsburgh, that there are paranormal groups charging for their services. Ladies and gentlemen, this is TOTALLY UNETHICAL! It is getting really ridiculous that there are groups out there charging their clients to come and snap some pictures…it is HOGWASH!

No one should be able to walk into a house and say “give me a hundred dollars and I will take these pictures for you.” We can go in and charge a hundred dollars, snap a few pictures of orbs; possibly some mists, and say, “Here, here is your proof” and walk away with a hundred dollars in our pockets. It does not work that way!!

One topic I have heard is “Should paranormal groups be a business?” NO, paranormal groups should not be a business. A business is to make money, to charge for your services. When you open a business you are there to make money and you know what your selling and you know how much to charge. Do you really know what you are looking for when you snap a picture? Is it an orb, is it dust, is it moisture in the air, you don’t know. So how in the HELL can you charge someone for that, you cant! That is downright ignorant!

Another topic I have been hearing about is “premier groups.” Hmmmm, what is a premier group? Does this mean that you are on the top of the paranormal group list? NOT! There is no such thing as a “Premier Group,” we are all the same. We have the same equipment and we do the same thing as every other paranormal group does. So why do you have to have a big head? To me, groups like that who think that they are ‘the best” are nothing. You just cannot go out and have fun, you have to be professional. Don’t get me wrong, I can see being professional to a certain point, but you really come over looking like assholes when you are. Take it from me, I remember doing some clients houses and trying to be professional and they look at you like you are an idiot. If you can learn to be yourself, and speak to client like they want to be spoken to, then you will be surprised on how many more clients you will get from word of mouth.

My group, PPS, yes we are professional but we don’t brag. We go in, talk to the people, listen to what they have to say, we don’t judge what they say and accept what they tell us. We always tell them there is a good chance that we might not get anything on EVP’s, or video. But we do believe in them, because they live with it.

How can somebody go into a house, cold at that, and take pictures and get no evidence, and tell that client that they have no ghost there. That is like a slap in the face. Do you want to get slapped in the face? Then I highly suggest, that you go in and be you. Maybe some groups should take etiquette classes, on how to speak and present themselves to a client.

There are certain groups that “belong to a family” and go by their rules and ideas. With PPS we do not go by anyone’s rules. We do not dictate or tell other people what to do. God bless TAPS, is all I can say. But what bothers me is when people try to be TAPS. They are who they are, and PPS is PPS. Therefore, why can’t other groups have their own identity? No one can ever be what my group is all about, and no one can ever be TAPS and what there people are about. Do people kiss my ass, no, so why should you kiss other people’s asses. Please note that I am NOT trying to destroy TAPS, I totally respect them and I do. What I don’t respect is groups trying to be like them.

This topic gets me baffled…. do you need a director of operations, public relations, liaisons or a psychologist for your group? NO! Why do you need to have everyone with titles? A “title” gives people power and gives them the opportunity to boss people around. You do not need a chain of command. PPS does not have a chain of command. It is I, and it is my group and I am the founder. Whatever responsibilities happen out there, it comes to me. I do not tell people what to do. My group is so good that I do not have to go on investigations because I put my whole trust into them because they know what they are doing. All you need is one person, that’s it.

Again, it is my responsibility, not there’s. I have known a lot of people who were not in the group but were very dear friends of mine who got messed up because they went into a house, not knowing what is there. My job for my group is to protect my group from spirits and to protect them from the unknown and the known. That’s just who I am.

Pick one person to take responsibility for all. And last but not least, it really upsets me that there is one person bossing everyone else around, and having other people do the dirty work for them. It upsets me that people cannot accept sensitive's or people with god-given gifts. Everything has to be scientific. Paranormal is not scientific, and scientific is not paranormal. I keep on saying this, when you have a group, you need the balance of spiritual and scientific. You just cannot be scientific. But I know that there are some people out there who will say that I am full of BS, I don’t care. I have been around for a long time and seem too many people get burned. Because they wanted to do it their way and they never had a clue what to do. So the next time you walk into a house and all of a sudden you get depressed, scared or nervous. Just think…is it a demon or a spirit that wants be known.

Everything I have said is my opinion. This is what I see. But I will not let the scientific take over paranormal work. From my point of view, paranormal work is 70-80% spiritual and only 20-30% scientific.

Welcome again to this months newsletter. PPS and PPS North did an investigation up in Leechburg this past Saturday and what an awesome investigation it was. Of course up North its kind of hard dealing with the country roads. I guess I'm just a city boy LOL. The clients where real nice and they had many stories to share with us. We got some orbs and decent mist (soon to be put up on the website).
I want to thank Elaine for all the research that she put into the house and property, not only for our information but information for the home owners to. It was a very nice evening and having the opportunity to work with PPS North was a very enlightening evening.

Jan 30th PPS had the opportunity to speak at Westmoreland Community College. We had over 150 people there and it was a wonderful experience. Elaine , Carmen and I got to share our experiences and our jobs and what we do to keep PPS going. A lot of people where there and they had many questions to ask us. I'm hoping to be able to speak at other seminars because this is what PPS is all about, to teach people and the community about the Paranormal.

Valentines Day is around the bend and it's that time to get close to the ones you love. To give candy and flowers and a nice romantic dinner with your loved one. Maybe you can go to the ones you loved who have past on and put a rose or a piece of candy on their grave and tell them that you love them. Always remember they may not be here in human form but in spirit form they are with you. Just wish them a Happy Valentines Day and I'm sure you will hear them say it to. Happy Valentines Day to everyone.

What a month! We have done a couple of investigations which unfortunately we couldn't find any evidence. I want to thank our clients for allowing us to come in to there houses. We have been busy looking at evidence and doing reveals for the clients. We had the opportunity to go to the Spanish Club in Donora and do an investigation. They invited us back the following week and we had a mini presentation for the workers that did their Haunted House. In the presentation we all told a little about our jobs in the group, that's the one part of our group that we like to do is to teach people about the paranormal and the different techniques we use to try to get evidence. We are trying some more experiments to see what we come up with.

August 30th 2008 we will be holding our first paranormal conference at Molnar's Lounge and Restaurant on Rt. 51 in Elizabeth, PA. We are busy getting everything together for this. We are inviting Paranormal teams and anyone that is interested in the paranormal. We are asking different people to come and speak, and the paranormal teams to share their techniques and personal experiences. More updates will be posted in the future. If any teams out there have any suggestions feel free to email the web mistress and she will pass the info to us.

I want to welcome Jarrod and Michelle to our team. They came with us on an investigation and I was really impressed on how passionate they are in the field. I know that they will be a big asset to our group. That's one thing you need to be is passionate about investigating and working your tails off just to get that one piece of evidence that can change the world in paranormal. Jarrod and Michelle are passionate in what they do and the PPS are real happy that they are part of the team.

We have a MySpace account too and that is booming with new friends and Paranormal groups signing our friends list. Donnie, Matt and Andrea have done a wonderful job on it so please, if your on My Space please go to our site: Pittsburgh Paranormal Society. They are putting different things on every other day so please check it out.

WTAE in Pittsburgh did a segment on their news cast about our group. The segment was awesome and they did a real nice job representing us. The PPS wants to thank WTAE for coming along with us on the investigation and presenting some evidence we have to show the people what we are about. They did ask a professor at the University of Pitt and well he had his opinions about us, but this is America and we are entitled to freedom of speech. When it was all said and done , it turned out to be an awesome experience.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and got the opportunity to be with their families and friends. Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for things in your life. What I'm grateful for this year is all the nice people the PPS met and people like you who come to our website and our MySpace account. Have a beautiful day and talk to you next month!

My Thoughts on Ouija Boards

Most of the private investigations the PPS have done, we would ask the owners if any of them or there children ever use a Ouija board. The majority of them have said yes and we come up with the conclusion why they are being tormented.

Ouija boards are nothing to joke around with. Sure a game for a Saturday night with friends, but if you don't know what you are doing then all hell breaks loose. I have heard many stories from our clients about how the oracle would fly across the room, the board catching on fire, and all kinds of strange happenings that occur in their homes.

When you play with the board its like holding a séance in your room. You open another realm which any kind of spirit can come to you and attach itself to you. If you don't know what you are doing you can get real burnt. Personally I would love to ask Parker Brothers, Inc. to take it off the shelves because all they do is cause destruction. It's your choice to use the game. I'm not saying that you cant. Only thing I can do is tell you what the setbacks are.

I have heard many people burn the board to get rid of it. That's not a good idea. Fire might destroy the game but the spirit can still exist. The only way I know of, and it works, is to bury it in the ground under a tree. The reason being that the Native Americans believe in Mother Earth and She grounds us. Once the board is buried, then the spirit or spirits that came along with it are grounded to.

The PPS is here to help you understand what is going on out in the spirit or paranormal world. We do care for each and every person out there. I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just making a suggestion on how to protect yourselves. If you go to a friends house and someone pulls out a Ouija Board, if it was me, I would leave and go to a movie myself. Please be safe.
